On June 26, the Supreme Court voted in favor of same-sex marriage. To mark the historic decision that passed by a 5-4 ruling, even the White House was lit in rainbow colors.

As soon as the news was released, same-sex couples started arriving at county courthouse across the nation to fill out forms for their marriage licenses, and Bexar County was no exception. Couples, young and old quickly filled the marriage license office and many proceeded straight to the Presiding Court to get married on the spot.
